About

Wairarapa TV is a Social Enterprise. Social Enterprises uses commercial strategies to maximise improvements in human and environmental well being. Wairarapa TV receives no grants or funding. We operate with direct the direct support of the very important strategic partners below, through advertising and by licensing the cutting edge technology we have developed for the platform.

The strategic partners all see a local channel as a valuable community asset to promote local businesses, events and tourism and to showcase the people and region we live in.

We encourage you to support these businesses and whenever you get the chance, to thank them for helping make Wairarapa TV continue to thrive.

Trust House Ltd

Trust House was the first Wairarapa business to throw their support behind Wairarapa TV and were the catalyst to take the concept from an idea to reality.

Without their initial support and vision, we would not have even got out of the starting blocks.

The comprehensive Trust House network of Venues and Hotels play a pivotal role in the  success of the channel.

Wairarapa Times-Age

The Wairarapa Times-Age is the dominant print media in the region and is a locally owned company. The company brings an outstanding 3d animated and professionally presented Met-service Weather package to the channel.

Wairarapa TV realised early on that a comprehensive daily Weather forecast was key to establishing credibility as a quality channel, however the cost of these packages is normally prohibitive for a small regional station.

By partnering with the Wairarapa Times-Age for Weather forecasts, we can deliver a daily presented Weather forecast equivalent in quality to the major networks.

MoreFM - Mediaworks

Mediaworks is a formidable powerhouse in the Wairarapa media industry, with a network of 7 radio stations and an on-air team that are recognised across the district as the best in the business.

Mediaworks brings familiar faces, voices and years of broadcast experience onto Wairarapa viewers screens, hosting and presenting our daily local news update in conjunction with MoreFM.

Including the team from MoreFM in Wairarapa TV was a natural decision and we are delighted they agreed to support the channel.

Wairarapa Bush Rugby

WBRFU is the driving force behind local sport. With the vision to install the country's first all weather international stadium surface, WBRFU are innovative and hungry to grow local sport so were the obvious sports partner for Wairarapa TV.

Wairarapa TV will be live broadcasting WBRFU games and will be working with the organisation on ways to increase engagement of local viewers in local sport.

Noise Productions Ltd

Noise Productions is the glue that holds Wairarapa TV together, providing the equipment and technical know-how to actually build the channel and technology from scratch.

Noise Productions has pulled together the team of diverse strategic partners to create and launch Wairarapa TV.

Whether it be providing sound for any one of the regions large outdoor concerts, or live broadcasting the Golden Shears, Noise Productions has a 15 year history of supporting, promoting and growing events in the region.

Wairarapa TV is a natural extension to help build the regions Tourism and Event industries into major contributors to the local economy.
